Appliances?

(angry) *** Guy asked:

We JUST finished a full kitchen remodel this afternoon (after a month of work!) and the results are spectacular. However, we’re a bit stumped on some of our appliances. Is there anything that we have to do before we use our oven/range or dishwasher? We checked in the owner’s manual but it didn’t say anything. Both are standard Whirlpools.

How long would it take to install appliances?

toni.chang asked:

I need to disconnect and take out appliances (oven, refrigerator, washer, dryer, dishwasher) then replace them with new ones. If I were to hire someone to do this for me how long would it take? Assuming I already have all of the new appliances.

How do you begin looking for new appliances?

Ramona asked:

When you begin looking for new kitchen appliances (mixers, blenders, juicers, etc) where do you do your research? What makes that source reliable/trustworthy?

I saw a news story a couple days ago about this and would like some more info. Does this only apply to appliances not in use, like a TV or microwave?

Hello all. For anyone who’s ever used heat styling appliances such as curling irons, wave irons or flat irons, you know that there is often times a smell these appliances leave in your hair. Like a burn smell. Anyway, I was wondering what I could use to eliminate this smell from my hair once I’m done styling it. I’d prefer something natural, but all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.
All of you are saying, heat protective spray…any suggestions?

I live in the New Haven area of Connecticut and our electric bills have absolutely skyrocketed in the past year. What are some good ways to conserve electricity on a daily basis? Which household electronics and appliances use the most electricity?
Which will cost more on the electric bill-
Using space heaters or leaving the heat on?

I’m considering moving into a barebones, student style studio in Manhattan while doing a grad program. I’ve found some great deals, but none include real kitchens. They just have a sink, some counter space, and a fridge/mini-fridge. Other than a toaster oven, microwave, and Forman Grill, what sorts of smaller kitchen appliances would allow for the greatest variety, but take up the smallest amount of space.
